Born from a vision to create meaningful cultural experiences on the water, Anchored in Freedom shines a spotlight on Black boat captains, yacht owners, and maritime businesses throughout the Washington, DC region. By bringing together community members, families, visitors, small businesses, entertainers, and boating professionals, the event creates a unique waterfront experience that honors Juneteenth while building economic opportunity.
